Arts Martha’s Vineyard has four central goals:

  • Increasing awareness of Martha’s Vineyard as a year-round, arts-rich community through branding and coordinated marketing opportunities.
  • Stimulating economic development, increasing cultural tourism, and fostering development of cultural initiatives.
  • Nurturing, coordinating, and leveraging resources and opportunities for arts and cultural non-profit organizations, businesses, and individuals.
  • Supporting arts education in schools and in the community at large

Vineyard Haven cultural district

Vineyard Haven Formally Named as Cultural District

Thanks to the efforts of a group of town officials, business owners and creative professionals, downtown Vineyard Haven has been named as the state’s newest cultural district. Tisbury’s application   to create the Vineyard Haven Harbor Cultural District was approved during a meeting of the Massachusetts Cultural Council on May 14, 2014.
